The meaning behind my label.

Grounded Roots took a lot of thought, going back and forth while saying it out loud a million times with different variations to finally come to: Grounded Roots.

For all that know me well, know I’ve had a dream for a while to have a coffee trailer to do events. Then Mt High- Now Drip Drop, went up for sale and I wanted it and I wanted it bad. In the end It didn’t work out and I’ve always said, “When one door closes, another one opens” and that’s exactly what happened- insert little red trailer. Even though I didn’t buy the local coffee shop, I knew Grounded Roots was going to be the name of my next door I walked thru.

An amazing soul was selling it and I couldn’t pass on it. It wasn’t what I had in mind, I wasn’t fond of the red, it needed a lot of work to even think of becoming California certified with the insignia, but I knew it was the right door and I was up for the challenge while maintaining a full career at First American Title.

There’s two sides to the name really. Of course Grounded, is for ground coffee but it also represents dirt. Yes dirt. Dirt from plants. I wanted plants and propagation stations everywhere in my coffee shop for you to buy. The the Roots, also has dual meaning. I love plants and I can propagate ANYTHING. It’s my favorite because I love to watch something grow from being so small and fragile, to deep rooted beauty. So there’s the physical part of Roots in the name but other part of Roots is for my 5. Rooted and entangled within each other forever and always. No matter what in life, no matter what trials and tribulations we face as a 5, we are a unit and it will be that way forever. It’s always been us 5, and it will forever be rooted in my heart that no matter what, I have my 5 and we have each other.

Each flower represents my 5’s birth wildflower.

Justin gifted me this beautiful blanket for Christmas that says “Mom’s Garden” with his, Lucas and Cora’s birthday wildflower on it. So I took that image, found out what mine and Daryl’s flower was and had Justin create me some labels.

Everything about this logo is everything about me my deep rooted story so far in this life. It’s so special to me as is the business brand I’m building. It’s fun. It’s hard. It’s work, but I absolutely love every minute of it, every lesson and every high & low. I know it’s right!
